The Decibel team describe this as "grown up berry iced tea", and we're with them on that. It is indeed crunchy, like biting into a fresh plum. It's a vibrant, juicy blend of Pinot Noir and Syrah, and will be our easy go-to chilled red for summer.
Dan Brennan of Decibel explores the region of Hawkes Bay with a diverse range of wines. From fun and quaffy, to serious and structured, he successfully highlights the different varieties and wine styles that the Bay is capable of producing. Having tasted with excitiment in the US what New Zeaalnd was capable of producing, he moved here to make wine in 2007. With some wines already Biogro certified, he's working towards his full production being organic.Â
