La Source Gabriel Côte de Provence Rosé 2024

La Source Gabriel Côte de Provence Rosé 2024

This is the real deal, that refreshing, dry, pale style of Rosé that is synonymous with Provence. In fact Régine Sumeire, who makes this wine in collaboration with her nephew, actually pioneered the pale Provence style we know and love. Her experimentation with the gentle pressing of whole berries, using a hydraulic champagne press in 1985, has been a game changer. Her delicate, refined style of winemaking continues today.

This family partnership between Régine Sumeire and her nephew Roger Blanc-Sumeire is part of their long history in the picturesque village of Pierrefeu-du-Var. The Sumeire family has owned Domaine Font-Freye since 1933, and acquired the adjourning Château la Tour de l’Evêque in 1958. The estates are both meticulously managed using organic practices, achieving full certification in 2005.
