Silvio Carta Rosso Vermouth 750ml

Silvio Carta Rosso Vermouth 750ml

The base wine for this vermouth is Vernaccia di Oristano Riserva, aged for 12 years in very old chestnut barrels. Infused with estate-grown Sardinian herbs, including myrtle and thyme, this rosso is herbal and aromatic with a whisper of sea breeze, with ripe stone fruit, honeyed walnut, and orange peel. Perfect over ice with a slice of orange, or in a Negroni or Americano, it’s a vermouth that stands proudly alongside the classics.

Founded in the 1950s by the rebellious Silvio Carta in Sardinia, the family-owned company has a long tradition of producing Vernaccia di Oristano wines and a range of spirits, including vermouth, Mirto, and London Dry Gin. Today, Master Distiller Elio Carta continues the legacy with estate-grown, hand-foraged herbs, careful barrel ageing, and slow, low-temperature distillation. Combining tradition with innovation, the Carta family crafts wines and spirits that express the character of Sardinia, from its sun-soaked vineyards to the aromatic Mediterranean scrub.
